Overview
A fetus diagnosed with fetal supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) is likely to recur in utero and postnatally. There are ongoing clinical trials to help determine when and how to treat fetal SVT and heart block. This presentation will review current practices and management strategies for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of fetal supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and fetal heart block.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Assess fetal and neonatal heart rhythms.
  2. Identify premature atrial and ventricular contractions.
  3. Identify the various tachyarrhythmias.
  4. Describe bradyarrhythmia including sinus bradycardia, blocked PACs and AV block.
  5. Explain the treatment and management of fetal SVT.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Assess fetal and neonatal heart rhythms.
